In a first, a Bollywood movie set to have a Rashtrapati Bhawan premiere. Film Raag Desh is creating history with its premier at Rastrapati Bhavan today.

After launching the trailer of the movie at the Rajya Sabha, Raag Desh today (on July 22) had a special screening at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. The event kicked off with a march past in which the cast participated. This was followed by bytes for media and at 11:15, there was a screening held for President Pranab Mukherjee . Raag Desh is a one of its kind movie that is based on the famous Red Fort trials, which changed the course of India’s Azaadi Movement.

The three officers who were court martialled were Prem Sehgal, Gurbaksh Dhillon and Shah Nawaz Khan for treason against the British king.

Raag Desh, is written and directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. The cast includes Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh and Mohit Marwah, and is presented by Rajya Sabha TV and produced by Gurdeep Singh Sappal. UFO Moviez are the strategic partners for this movie. Raag Desh is releasing on July 28.
