Aarti Bhagat, who plays Manjiri in Jamai No. 1, is receiving immense love from the audience for her powerful portrayal of a strong, independent woman. Talking about her character’s evolution, Aarti shares, “Manjiri is someone who always stands for what is right, no matter the situation. She loves her family deeply, especially her brother Neel, and their bond is unbreakable. However, when she learns that Neel is going to be a Ghar Jamai, she strongly opposes it. She believes in values and traditions and isn’t afraid to voice her concerns.”

Despite her simple dressing and calm nature, Manjiri is not someone to be underestimated. “She may appear soft-spoken, but when faced with injustice, she speaks up. That’s what I love about her. Her strength comes from her principles, and she isn’t afraid to question things,” Aarti adds.

You can’t rely on just one role to define you. I feel fortunate that Jamai No. 1 has given me a character like Manjiri, which allows me to showcase my range as an actor.”
