Talented actor Urmila Mahanta is paving her way back to South with a TV Commercial for a popular Brand. Urmila who has debuted with critically acclaimed film Vazhakku Enn and amazed the audience with her intense acting is elated to shoot for a Tamil TV Commercial in Mumbai during the lockdown.

The actor says “ It’s so good to be back on set, that too after a long break of 5 months “ due to lockdown the actor was away from the shoot and she was quite excited to be back with a Tamil TVC. Last she was seen with Hitman Rohit Sarmah for another TVC of IIFL

While being asked on her feeling the actor shares her experience “ I was shooting in Thane, I was really thrilled to be back on Set. The entire production team tried their best to take good care for the unit. However, she added “film making is a team effort, no matter how much you try to maintain social distancing, it’s next to impossible to keep yourself in a distance. Especially for us: the actors…” Urmila further ads “I have seen many changes on the set: once we reach the location we had to go through sanitization machine, they checked the temperature for each one entering into the set. “In regular intervals, they sanitise the set and sanitizer bottles were kept every-where! No food stalls like before, packed foods are supplied to maintain the hygiene”, the actor further added.

Director Balaji Sakthivel’s drama-thriller “Vazhakku Enn 18/9” Urmila Mahanta has received notable praise for portraying the character of a slum dweller Jyothi and created a niche for herself. Urmila has also made her debut in the Bengali film industry with the remake of Vazhakku Enn 18/9, Chirodini Tumi Je Amar 2” and could amaze her Bengali fans equally.

Last she was seen in R Balki’s “Padman” where she played a vital role with Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor.

While sharing on her recent work, the actor has mentioned her upcoming Malayalam film “Rosogolla” by Sabu James which is awaiting its release.

The actor was also seen as Judge for an Acting Reality Show “ Shining Star” for National Television channel.
