Northeast Unsung heroes red carpet Social Awards 2020, is a social event to promote the unsung heroes of Northeast India recognizing for their silent contribution towards the society. The event was initiated by Ms. Rebbecca Changkija Sema and it has its glorious chapters first in Nagaland (2018) and then in Sikkim (2018) where unsung heroes from each state have been felicitated for their great work. Rebbecaa, founder of NE Unsung Heroes Red Carpet Social Award is looking forward for the 2020 event ” This year due to COVID pandemic entire world had to go through many changes, but we are keeping our promise to recognize unsung heroes of NE every year, we are going to have our event in Darjeeling in the month December 2020.

The Unsung Heroes event has been supported by many Bollywood celebrities like legendary Zeenat Aman, Mahima Chaudhury as well as Nepali legendary actor Bhuwan KC.

For NE Unsung Heroes Red Carpet Social Award 2020, Bollywood Couch will be the Media and Public Relations Partner which will try its best to uplift the unsung heroes in the media domain. Jutikaa Mahanta, founder of Bollywood couch says, “Unsung Heroes Event is a great initiative towards the national integration. It is our duty to do something substantial for our community back in the Northeast. This time this beautiful event will be happening in Darjeeling in the month of December and we are looking forward to it.”

Last year it was held in Mumbai Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) in the presence of Hon Governor of Maharashtra Shri.Bhagat Singh Koshyari along with all respected resident commissioners of Northeast house where 3 awardees per the state of NE were felicitated in the field of sports, education, art and culture, entertainment, entrepreneurship. It was a grand event in the financial capital of the country and all awardees had a grand time at the Raaj Bhavan hosted by Hon Governor himself.

Earlier, celebrities like Mahima Chaudhary, Zeenat Aman, Nepali actor Bhuwan KC graced the award function in Nagaland and Sikkim and we look forward to a grand event in Darjeeling in 2020.
