Budding Film Maker Trinayan Sharma pens down an emotional note on the first yearly Tithi of his father -Shri Khagen Sarma – Late DGP of Assam Featured Regional Beat by Akanksha - November 11, 2020November 11, 20200 Trinayan’s father’s first tithi is on – 13/11/2020 and he is still feeling the void and shared “A year has passed by and the feeling of not having you hasn’t sunk in as yet but as people say life moves on but it’s easier said than done “. Late Shri Khagen Sarma was one of the most prolific DG of Assam . He was instrumental in dealing with ULFA ( terrorist organisation ) and breaking them with the divide and rule policy and breaking them even further by pressurising many surrenders in his time . He was often away from the family and that’s even more of a reason that his son miss him the most. At the same time “being a son I am proud of what my father has achieved over the years in government service “ says Trinayan. He further ads “For me it has been tough to be away from him for months but in hindsight it was always a sacrifice for the state that I understood. My father was the epitome of punctuality and values.”. He passed away last year on the 25th of Oct , 2019 . “It was the darkest phase of my life but once I saw so many people mourning his loss and the felicitation he got I felt so proud that I am his son . The rounds of fire that were shot in his honour still echoes in my ears . This is the first yearly tithi of my father and I wish he is happy wherever his soul is “ exclaims the mourning son. For Trinayan he was the best father in the world and he would want a father like him for as many lives he lives.
