Featured Funtainment by Akanksha - November 30, 2021November 30, 20210 NFAI’s 8 very rare Hindi films from 1940’s and 1950’s: The highlight is two films Lalach (1948) and Bachke Rehna (1949) in which Master Bhagwan acted and directed. Both the films have music by C Ramchandra. The collection has Sinbad The Sailor (1952), a fantasy seafaring adventure starring the popular South Indian star of the time Ranjan. It also has Tarzan Aur Hercules, a 1966 film that was directed by comedy actor Mehmood! Other rare films include Miss Punjab Mail (1958) whose script was written by Kaifi Azmi, Naag Champa (1958), one of the very films for which Manna Dey composed music, Professor And Jadugar (1967) and Dara Singh starrer Daku Mansingh. Getting more than 70-year-old films and that too on celluloid is nothing less than a treasure!
