How can someone stoop so low? Celebrities on videos of women bathing and changing clothes during Maha Kumbh being sold online

Recently, videos of women devotees taking a dip in the holy water and changing their clothes at the Maha Kumbh have surfaced online, where some portals are even selling them. A police complaint has been lodged against those websites, and celebrities are asking for a much stricter and graver punishment for the offenders.

Srikant Dwivedi:
The problem I see here is that people do not get seriously punished for such actions, and that is why they continue to happen. When there is no strict punishment that can create fear in people’s minds, these activities will keep occurring. I don’t understand the mindset or values of such individuals—how can someone stoop so low? I recently came across the fact that some people are selling such things for money, which is absolutely disgraceful. Whoever is involved in this, whether a man or a woman, must be punished very strictly. There should be an example set for others so that such incidents stop happening.I don’t know how low a human being can fall. This is definitely not a part of Indian culture. It is shocking that in such a holy place, where people go to wash away their sins, such sinful acts are taking place. I am truly surprised. Of course, there are all kinds of people in this world, but those who engage in such shameful activities are very few. However, their actions bring shame to all of humanity. That is why I strongly believe that strict and severe punishment is necessary. Otherwise, this will never stop. And when I say strict punishment, I mean something that truly makes an impact—even if it means publicly exposing their wrongdoing. Only then will such crimes stop. This is my opinion, and I firmly believe in it. Without such serious action, these activities will continue. Once the culprit is found, they must be dealt with very strictly.

Harsha Richhariya:
What happened at the Mahakumbh is truly disturbing. Videos and photos were secretly taken of women and girls while they were changing clothes, and then attempts were made to sell them online for money. This is a serious threat to humanity.People with such a disgusting mindset do not even deserve to be called human. The Kumbh Mela is a sacred place where people go to wash away their sins. It is believed that just visiting Prayagraj, also known as Teerthraj Prayag, cleanses all sins. But the scriptures also say that if someone commits a sin in this holy place, it is the worst sin imaginable—one that cannot be washed away anywhere in the universe. These people have already sealed their own fate, and what awaits them in the future will be worse than they can ever imagine. But as a society, we cannot just rely on karma—we must take strict action against them. Such criminals should be given the harshest punishment so that in the future, people are not just afraid of committing such acts but even fear the thought of it.There is an urgent need for strong legal action against them.

Kunal Verma:
It’s sad, sick, and I guess humans have given up on a normal way of living… God bless. I think now apps should have a new policy of not putting.

Hansa Singh:
I was actually waiting for such news to surface. As we are who we are. Misogynistic society. Men in general but some sick ones use the very unassuming people as their prey. It’s a place where everyone has come for a reason: to pray and to take a dip in holy triveni. But these miscreants have ulterior motives. People taking a dip and changing is normal in such religious gatherings, and every individual does take precautions, yet… these perverts and their cameras. It’s just too sad and crass. God knows when Indians will understand that it’s the human body, and it’s normal. Until this mindset of objectifying can’t change, until it’s normal to see a human body, this will never stop. Where a male body is normal and not objectified. But it’s been said a zillion times that if you pray to Devi Maa, then why do you forget to respect females? What’s wrong with your hormones, men?

Saanand Verma:
This is very sad. People should never engage in such cheap and unethical acts. I feel that these kinds of criminals should be punished. They must understand that being a good human being comes first, rather than earning a few bucks through such dirty tricks for money-making.Unfortunately, social media has become a platform where people can easily indulge in criminal activities. It is largely unregulated, allowing anyone to do anything without fear of the police or the law. All one needs is a fake ID and a computer. The IP address is not an issue either, as there are various ways to conceal or protect it. With minimal hacking knowledge, people can commit serious crimes online. This is deeply concerning and very, very sad. The administration and authorities must take strict action against such crimes. These criminals should be severely punished to prevent further misuse of digital platforms.
