It is a narrow-minded and vulgar act by people: Nehal Vadoliya on videos of women bathing and changing clothes during Maha Kumbh being sold

Nehal Vadoliya on videos of women bathing and changing clothes during Maha Kumbh being sold

Recently, videos of women devotees taking a dip in the holy water and changing their clothes at the Maha Kumbh have surfaced online, where some portals are even selling them. A police complaint has been lodged against those websites, and actor Nehal Vadoliya, who is known for her roles in web series such as Gandii Baat 3, Julie 1-2, Mastram, Woodpecker, and Imli, as well as TV shows like Vighnaharta Ganesha, Aap Ke Aa Jane Se, and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, to name a few, has condemned the action. She calls it a crime and stresses that it shows the cheap mentality of the people who filmed it.

She said, “Secretly taking photos or videos of anyone without their permission is a crime. It is a narrow-minded and vulgar act by people who seem to have forgotten what it means to be human. I don’t think such people even respect their own families.”

“They have no understanding of Mahakumbh, where people travel from far and wide to take a holy dip and feel spiritually connected to God. Capturing such sacred moments in an inappropriate way is shameful,” she added.

She further requested the government to take strict action, not only against those recording such videos but also against those watching them. “Playing with people’s emotions like this deserves a punishment so severe that it is remembered for a lifetime,” Nehal ended.
