Unlike her previous role as Juhi Shergill, which leaned more towards light-heartedness, her character in Season 2 assumes a pivotal and serious stance in the storyline. Sanjeeta Bhattacharya’s portrayal of Juhi Shergill undergoes a significant transformation in Broken News Season 2. As her character assumes a more serious and central role in the storyline, the audience can anticipate a nuanced performance from the talented actress. When asked about her experience working with the stellar cast in Broken News S2, including Jaideep Ahlawat, Sonali Bendre, and Shriya Pilgaonkar, Sanjeeta says, “An absolute delight! Shriya Pilgaonkar and I bonded during season 1 almost as soon as we met. Our mutual love for travel, food, and music kept us coming back to each other. I’ve found a lifelong friend in her. Taaruk Raina and I know each other since I was in 8th grade! He is my school senior, and we sang in the school band together. It’s great to have friends to lean on while shooting. This project is very special to me because of the people involved…”

Talking about her character Juhi Shergill in Broken News Season 2, Sanjeeta explains, “Juhi Shergill is all matured and is now responsible not only for reporting news but also the stories that are to be reported. She is seen in a new avatar of someone who takes on new challenges head-on, is now a senior reporter and news reader.”

In Broken News Season 1, we have seen the rivalry between Ameena Qureshi (Sonali Bendre) and Dipankar Sanyal (Jaideep Ahlawat). When asked about Sanjeeta’s experience working with Jaideep, she explains, “Jaideep and I didn’t have any scenes together unfortunately, but I’ve found a friend in him off-camera. Such an incredible actor and a genuinely warm and humble man. I look up to him.”
