Today is International Women’s Day when we celebrate womanhood all around the world. On the occasion of Women’s Day, Milan Talkies raised serious concern for the women of our country. They posted a short yet impactful video asking everyone “As A Woman In 2019 Do We Still Have The Right To Choose Our Life Partner?”

In many parts of India, women are still not allowed to choose their life partner and are forced to marry someone of their parents choice. In Milan Talkies trailer we see glimpses of Ali Fazal and Shraddha Srinath fighting for their love. Ashutosh Rana’s dialogue from the trailer “Hum Panda Hai, Maryada Ka Palan Karna Hamara Dharm Bhi Hai Aur Dhandha Bhi” where he is dragging Shraddha with his fellow men carrying weapons shows the reality of many small cities of India. This is a serious issue which needs to raised and fought back to break the stereotypes. Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia MilanTalkies stars Ali Fazal in the lead role and marks the Hindi film debut of Kannada star Shraddha Srinath. The movie is about a struggler who wants to become the biggest filmmaker in India, how his life revolves around movies and how he falls in love filmy style. The film is slated to release on 15th March.
