Miss World 2017 turned actress Manushi Chillar will be making her debut as Akshay Kumar’s lady love in the historical drama “Prithviraj”.

Manushi has signed her second film too. As per the report, she will be paired opposite Vicky Kaushal in Yash Raj Films’ comedy film directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya (Dhoom 3).

A few weeks back, it was reported that Vicky Kaushal has been signed on by YRF film for a comedy film. Now the actor has found his leading lady in Manushi.

A source told that “Manushi had been zeroed in on for Prithviraj last year after she delivered a fantastic audition. It was the same audition tape that helped her bag this film, which is likely to be helmed by Dhoom 3 director Vijay Krishna Acharya. The decision to bring Manushi on board was taken last week as head honcho Aditya Chopra was confident that her pairing with Vicky will grab eyeballs.”

We all know Vicky Kaushal has superb timing when it comes to comedy. We have seen a glimpse of it in his Gujrati Kamli act in “Sanju”.

Manushi Chillar, on the other hand, has to still complete the shooting for Prithviraj Chauhan, which has been stalled due to the lockdown. Since the film requires larger-than-life sets and the huge crowd for the historical scenes, the makers are waiting for the pandemic to die down completely.

Reportedly, the yet to be titled film will be announced on late Yash Chopra’s birth anniversary that is September 27, 2020. It is said to be a part of YRF’s Project 50 marks the golden jubilee of the production house.
