Mughal-e-Azam to return to Mumbai on May 24th for its 10th Season

Even before ‘Mughal-e-Azam: The Musical’ travels to Dubai for its first international tour, the producer Shapoorji Pallonji has been inundated with requests for another season in Mumbai. Giving in to public demand, director Feroz Abbas Khan and Shapoorji Pallonji have decided to stage the musical extravaganza in Mumbai starting May 24th in what will be the play’s 10th season.

The play is unlikely to come back to Mumbai for some time after its May season since it has a hectic international schedule starting with Dubai and then plans of travelling to other foreign destinations including Singapore, Oman, Qatar and later Europe and the U.S.

Director Feroz Abbas Khan says, “Mughal-e-Azam will be travelling extensively this year. However, Mumbai audiences are special and extremely gracious. We really appreciate the love and support they have extended to the Musical. It’s an absolute pleasure to perform in Mumbai once again before we head overseas.”

Having completed 125 shows across the country, Mughal-e-Azam continues to weave its magic on audiences with its state-of-the-art sets, classic choreography and live singing by the lead actors.

Directed by Feroz Abbas Khan & produced by Shapoorji Pallonji, ‘Mughal-e-Azam: The Musical’ will be staged in Mumbai at the Jamshed Bhabha Theatre, NCPA from May 24th to June 3rd, 2018.
