The august gathering had the presence of Mr.C.Kalyan former President & Chairman Building Committee, Mr. Katragadda Prasad President SIFCC, Mr. Ravi Kottarakra Hon’ble Secretary SIFCC, Mr. N.Ramasami Hon’ble Secretary SIFCC, Mr. Vidhya Sagar Publisher of Pickle magazine, Mr. M.Mahadevan CEO Lotus Exotic pvt ltd, EC Members and various other representatives from the South Indian Film fraternity.

Mrs Sharma representing Sikkim apprised them about the various initiatives taken by Government of Sikkim under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. P.S.Tamang and his vision towards development of cinema and filmmaking as an industry in Sikkim.

They delved into detail about the cooperation and various avenues which can be worked together between the two states. The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) profusely thanked the Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. P.S.Tamang for working towards building of a thriving film industry in the state which would offer a platform to the young talents and also bring in revenues for the state. The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) also proposed to send a letter after drawing minutes of the meeting from today’s discussion which would list out requirements needed for film shooting in Sikkim. This would help capitalize on the state’s immense potential as a film shooting destination and also propel the shifting of favoured destination for the South Indian film industry to shoot in Sikkim.

Mrs. Pooja Sharma thanked the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce (SIFCC) for sharing their inputs, expertise since South India produces the maximum number of films in India. She specially thanked Mr. Ravi Kottarakra Hon’ble Secretary for always sharing his valuable inputs and for his constant guidance and cooperation. She also extended invitation for the upcoming Sikkim Global Film Festival which is scheduled to be held later this year and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all the representatives present today for helping to accelerate in making Sikkim as a favoured shooting destination in the country.
