With every new addition to the star cast of 83 , the film turns to be the most anticipated film of the year. Recent addition to Kabir Khan’s 83 is south Indian actor R Badree, who will portray the character of Sunil Valson in the upcoming movie. The film will play around the most historic events related to Indian cricket, the 1983 World Cup Win for India, headed by then-captain Kapil Dev.

Talking about his break in Bollywood R Badree revealed that he is super excited to work with Kabir Khan, the director of the film. The actor also feels it is awesome to play Sunil Valson’s character and to be a part of the reel Indian squad of 1983.

R Badree, an FTII (Pune) graduate always had the desire to become an actor. Born to humble parents Mr. M Ram and Mrs. Janakhi Ram in Vellore, later raised in Chennai R Badree did his Graduation in Visual Communication from SRM College before joining Film & Television Institute of India.

The actor debuted in South with eminent Director Balaji Shaktivel for his Tamil film “Yar Ivargal’ which is expected to be released soon. Badree an ardent lover of stage, is actively engaged with Chennai based ‘Shradha Theatre Group’ and also a part of popular Tamil YouTube Channel ‘Temple Monkeys’.

While speaking to Bollywood Couch, R Badree shared his excitement of working again with director Kabir Khan,
“When it comes to Hindi industry , I am fortunate to work with director Kabir Khan Sir for upcoming Amazon Web Series “Forgotten Army”, I am really thankful for 83 now”.

The film will closely revolve around the historic victory of 1983 World Cup and Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh will be seen as the former captain Kapil Dev. For the unversed Sunil Valson was the 12^th man for the team and the only player who never got to play any match!

The film 83 is expected to be a trilingual film to be made in Hindi, Tamil and Telegu.

Ranveer Singh will play the lead and backed by a powerful support cast which includes Ammy Virk as Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Saahil Khattar as Syed Kirmani, Jiiva as Krishnamachari Srikanth and Pankaj Tripathi as manager PR Man Singh, Tahir Bhasin, Saqib Saleem and Harrdy Sandhu are the recent addition to it.

While sharing his excitement R Badree revealed when he was shooting for Amazon web-series director Kabir Khan asked him to appear for the audition for 83 and rest is history now!.

The entire team of 83 is currently in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh and visited by living cricket legend Kapil Dev recently. On meeting Kapil Dev R Badree shared his feeling on Social Media “ What an evening ..woow….just can’t get over it…. The Living Legend who defined and changed the course of Cricket in India. A True honour to meet and interact with this legend”.
