In every step of my life, she supported and encouraged me. Whether day or night, she was always there for me no matter what the condition was. Her persistence, devotion, dedication, and conduct are an inspiration for me.” Speaking about the evolving portrayal of women on Indian television, Mansi added, “I’ve grown up watching TV serial heroines being extremely innocent and weak. I feel they should be portrayed as strong, independent, and confident because TV has a huge impact on our society. And yes, this change has already happened. In my current show, Suman Indori, Suman is a strong, independent woman who has supported her family through thick and thin. She is confident enough to fight against all odds.” Mansi also draws parallels between her own character, Bhoomi, and this journey of strength: “Bhoomi is a character I deeply resonate with. She has grown as a person so much over time, from being an innocent schoolgirl who couldn’t take a stand for herself to becoming a successful lawyer, the journey is commendable.”

Shweta Gautam, another integral part of the show, finds her inspiration in her mother’s quiet strength. “Despite being born with certain physical disabilities, she raised us with incredible strength and dedication. I always remember her looking after every need of my father and us. In spite of her challenges, she would take us to school, cook for us, and ensure our clothes were ironed. Through her silent strength, she taught me so many life lessons.” Shweta praised the portrayal of modern, strong women on television and highlighted “Suman Indori” as one such example. “Suman is a reflection of today’s woman: independent, confident, and relatable.” As an actress known for positive, nurturing mother figures, Shweta shared how her real-life experiences shape her performances. “Since I have a young daughter, I find myself resonating especially with mother-daughter scenes. They reflect my own experiences and emotions. These roles allow me to embrace my maternal side both on and off-screen.”

Together, the voices of Ashnoor Kaur, Mansi Bhanushali, and Shweta Gautam reflect the spirit of Women’s Day, honoring the women who inspire them and the strong, independent characters they bring to life on-screen.
