Notably, he shared his post in Assamese language , further resonating with the people of the state and showcasing his admiration for Assam’s heritage. Emphasizing Assam’s 200-year tea legacy, he noted how small tea gardens are growing alongside large plantations, marking a significant transformation in the industry. Agarwal underscored the state’s immense contribution to India’s economy, stating that Assam produces over 50% of India’s tea, generating more than 650 million kg annually. The tea industry provides livelihood to 3 million people and contributes 3% to India’s GDP. He also highlighted the crucial role of small tea growers, who produce over 400 million kg of green leaf, further driving Assam’s tea economy. Recognizing the government’s proactive measures, he commended initiatives such as guarantee-free loans and advancements in agricultural technology, which are empowering young entrepreneurs and transforming the tea sector.
